Christmas can be the loneliest time of year for children living in poverty. While other kids wake up to presents under the tree, many children on Skid Row wake up to another day of uncertainty. Our annual Christmas Toy Drive aims to change that.
The Mission
Every December, we collect new toys, games, books, and gifts to distribute to children on Skid Row and other underserved areas. We've delivered over 1,000 toys to date, and we're just getting started.
What We Collect
- New, unwrapped toys for all ages
- Books and educational games
- Stuffed animals
- Art supplies and craft kits
- Dolls, action figures, and playsets
- Sports equipment and outdoor toys
- Gift cards for teenagers
The Magic Moment
There's nothing quite like seeing a child's face light up when they receive a gift. For many of these kids, it's the first present they've received in years. That moment of pure joy is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
